Saturday
On Saturday we started at 10 a.m. with some basic warm up for the upcoming technical focus for the eagle and bear techniques. First we had a closer look into two fundamental movements and applications of the bear form in Xing Yi Quan, before we head over to two variants of the Xinyi Liuhe Quan branch. After lunch break, we shifted to two eagle techniques from the respective styles. We finished with a summary and in deep clarification about the movement principles of these two basic concepts on the Xin Yi Family styles.
We finished the first day at a nearby Indian Restaurant for some final discussion about Ying (Eagle) and Xiong (Bear) concepts and the differences and similarities in Xing Yi and Xinyi Liuehe Quan.
Sunday
After a short recap of the applications so far, we headed more into variations of the concepts in standing postures (Zhang Zuan) and related styles (Bagua Zhang and Baji Quan).
